N. Korea reports news of Roh's death

SEOUL, May 24 (Yonhap) -- North Korea on Sunday reported the death of former
South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun, in an unusually prompt reaction made just
one day after his apparent suicide.

"According to reports, former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun died on the
morning of May 23," the official Korean Central News Agency said.
The two-sentence report suggested Roh may have died from psychological pressure
in the face of a corruption probe.
Prosecutors summoned Roh on April 30 to investigate allegations that he had
received at least US$6 million from a tycoon, which he denied.
"Local and foreign media are connecting his death with psychological pressure
resulting from prosecutors' forceful investigation," it said.
