Foreign Minister receives 'This Is Bahrain' Society chairperson

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today received the Chairperson of “This Is Bahrain Society”, Betsy Mathieson. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Chairperson of This Is Bahrain, praising the tangible role of the Society in spreading the values of religious tolerance, cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence rooted in Bahraini society, as well as its efforts to highlight the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the international scene, wishing the Society and its members further success. Mathieson lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the role of Bahraini diplomacy in implementing the policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is based on spreading a culture of peace, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and promoting the status of Bahrain in the international community. She also stressed the Society's desire to consolidate relations of cooperation and promote coordination with the concerned authorities in the Ministry to achieve more for the Kingdom at the international level, expressing the Society's readiness to harness all its capabilities to achieve concerted joint efforts in this regard. The two sides discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest, in addition to ways to promote cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and “This Is Bahrain”.
