Bahrain, Azerbaijan hold second meeting of political consultations

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): The second meeting of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. The meeting was co-chaired by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fariz Rzayev. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah praised strong friendly relations between Bahrain and Azerbaijan and their steady growth at all levels, stressing the importance of activating the agreements signed between the two countries and developing areas of comprehensive cooperation. He also noted the remarkable progress witnessed in Bahrain-Azerbaijan relations in recent years in the interest of the two friendly countries and people. He expressed hope political consultations would further promote partnership between the two countries. For his part, the Deputy Foreign Minister Rzayev hailed the advanced and distinguished relations between the two friendly countries, stressing his country's keenness to consolidate cooperation with Bahrain in various fields and wishing the Kingdom further development. Both sides also reviewed ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation and discussed a number of issues of common concern.
