BDF Commander-in-Chief receives Israeli Defence Minister

Manama, Feb. 3 (BNA): Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received at the BDF General Command, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Noaimi. The BDF Chief welcomed the Israeli Defence Minister and reviewed with him issues of mutual concern, aimed to strengthen the foundations of peace, further development and support regional and international developments. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the BDF and the Israeli Defence Ministry in the field of military cooperation, which would contribute to supporting and consolidating bilateral military relations. The agreement was signed by Bahrain’s Minister of Defence Affairs and the Israeli Defence Minister. In attendance were Defence Ministry Undersecretary Major-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and a number of senior BDF officers.
