UoB President receives WREN delegation

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): President of University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, has affirmed the UoB’s keenness to participate in achieving the national and international renewable energy goals, in accordance with the kingdom’s interest in the sector and its achievements in it. Dr. Al-Mudhahki was speaking while receiving here today a delegation from the World Renewable Energy Network (WREN), led by Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World Renewable Energy Congress, Professor Ali Sayigh, and representative of the UAE at the WREN’s Advisory Committee, Dr. Riyadh Al-Dabbagh. Professor Ali Sayigh highlighted ways to support renewable energy and increase production to meet the increasing demand for energy and keep pace with the economic growth in Bahrain. The two sides discussed the common vision regarding energy development and ways to enhance cooperation between the UoB and the WREN in the field of scientific research, exchange of experiences, organising training workshops, and international forums on renewable energy.
