HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the Acting Assistant Secretary of the US State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Acting Assistant Secretary of the US State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Yael Lempert, at Riffa Palace. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the depth of Bahrain-USA historic relations, which continue to receive the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to enhancing cooperation and coordination with the United States. His Royal Highness also reiterated that the bilateral partnership shared between the two countries has been built upon a shared goal to maintain security in the region. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed that a unified approach and coordinated action is required from states to address extremist ideologies and terrorist activity. His Royal Highness commended the US's contribution to maintaining international security and stability and highlighted the importance of consolidating strategic relations between allies to assist these efforts. Regional and international developments and issues of common interest were also discussed. The Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
