Foreign Minister receives Acting Assistant Secretary of US State Department Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received at the ministry today Acting Assistant Secretary of the US State Department Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Yael Lempert, on the occasion of her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. They discussed historical friendly relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA. They also reviewed ways to promote bilateral cooperation to serve common interests and discussed developing joint coordination to address regional political and security challenges and promote peace and security. They also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest. Present at the meeting were the Chief of American Affairs, Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali Al Khalifa, and the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Steven C. Bondy.
