President opens al-Dhafir village reconstruction project

SANA'A, May 24 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh along with
Saudi Prince al-Walid bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud opened on
Sunday the reconstruction project of al-Dhafir village and
distributed the houses' contracts for the people affected by a 2006
rock-fall at the al-Dhafir village, Bani Matar district of Sana'a
governorate.

President Saleh accompanied by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and Prince
al-Walid visited a housing unit in the project that consists of 100
housing units financed by Prince al-Walid bin Talal through al-Walid
Bin Talal Charity Foundation at a total cost of SR 23 million.

The state constructed the infrastructure projects in the housing
project including the electricity (YR 25 million), water and
sanitation (YR 173 million), main roads and internal streets (YR 340
million) and telecommunication service.
