PROTOCOL ON MEETING OF BAKU-TBILISI-KARS RAILWAY PROJECT`S TECHNICAL COMMISSION SIGNED IN TURKEY
Ankara, May 25 (AzerTAc). Turkish Minister of Transport and Communications Binali Yildirim, Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and Georgian Economic Development Minister Lasha Zhvania have signed a protocol on the outcomes of the two day meeting of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project`s technical commission.
Ziya Mammadov called the project as a “bridge between Europe and Asia”.
He said the project is not only of economic, but also political and strategic importance, and that it will bring Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan more closer.
He noted the project would be put into operation in 2011.
Binali Yildirim said the protocol includes some changes on the project`s technical details.
