Pak given adequate material to proceed against 26/11 attackers

New Delhi, May 25 (PTI) Questioning Pakistan for not
prosecuting those involved in the Mumbai terror attack,
India's Home Minister P Chidambaram Monday said the material
provided to it was "more than adequate" to proceed against the
conspirators.

"I don't want to be harsh in my first comments on
Pakistan. But any prosecutor, any prosecuting agency should be
more than satisfied with the first dossier, the second
answering of 20 questions and the third providing
clarifications," Chidambaram told reporters on the first day
in office.

The Home Minister said, "I think there is abundant
material to prosecute those they have arrested and those they
have accused of launching the dastardly attack in Mumbai."

Chidambaram said in his view both as Minister and as
lawyer "the material that has been furnished to them is more
than adequate to press ahead with the prosecution."

India had given the third dossier on May 20 which
includes certified DNA report and statement of the lone
arrested terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab.

On March 13, Pakistan was handed over a second
401-page dossier, containing question-by-question replies and
annexures. The first dossier was handed over to Pakistan on
January 5. PTI ACB
