Interior Minister visits WDS Riyadh 2022

Riyadh, Mar.6 (BNA): Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa today visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the opening of the World Defence Show WDS Riyadh 2022. The visit followed an invitation from the Saudi Minister of Interior His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi. Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa hailed strong fraternal relations binding the two countries, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He commended the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister. He congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the inaugurations of the first edition of WDS Riyadh 2022, which opened today in the Saudi Capital, attracting more than 590 exhibitors from 42 countries and 100 delegations from 70 states. The minister was briefed on cutting edge security and defence equipment and systems, noting that the exhibition is an exemplary opportunity to transfer these industries and forge partnerships that contribute to strengthening regional stability and promoting sustainable development. He stressed the importance of modernising work mechanisms and systems in the ministry’s various sectors and training the personal to keep pace with changes and security challenges.
