Bahrain-UK environmental cooperation discussed

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah, received today British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roderick Drummond, to discuss boosting bilateral cooperation in the environment and climate field. Dr. bin Dainah praised the ambassador’s role in enhancing relations between the two friendly countries, lauding his support to the efforts to protect the environment. He also affirmed keenness of SCE to boost cooperation with the countries supporting international agreements on protecting the environment and achieving the sustainable development goals, including mainly the United Kingdom. The British ambassador praised development in the Kingdom of Bahrain and keenness on protecting the environment and handling climate change. He also stressed the UK’s keenness to boost cooperation and achieve more international integration to tackle the climate and environmental issues.
