Al-Arhabi receives TIEC team over setting up Al-Saleh University



SANA'A, May 25 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs
and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Kareem
al-Arhabi received on Monday a team of the Texas International
Education Consortium (TIEC) which was asked to prepare technical
studies and special curriculums of Al-Saleh University for Higher
Education.

Al-Arhabi affirmed importance of achieving the studies related to
set up the university especially technical and financial plans,
saying that the university would be un-profitable corporation and
apply all international admission rules.

He added that the university would focus on needs of the development
and local and gulf labor markets within recent understandings
between Yemen and countries Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to
receive Yemeni qualified workers in their labor markets.

Al-Arhabi also pointed out to the initiative of President Ali
Abdullah Saleh to build the university to meet requirements of the
development, saying that the university would contribute to present
technical and administrative knowledge to improve the development in
the country.
