Al-Arhabi heads a meeting of Committee on the Extractive Industries

SANA'A, May 25 (Saba)- A Committee on the Extractive Industries
Transparency held its meeting on Monday headed by the Deputy Prime
Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and
International Cooperation Abdul-Kareem al-Arhabi.

Tin the meeting, al-Arhabi affirmed on importance of activating
works of the committee to reach solutions for certain argued issues,
pointing to the concern of the government to contribute to activate
works of the committee.

The committee includes representatives from the government, civil
society organizations, oil companies working in the country, Supreme
national Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC).It was formed
before one year after Yemen announced its accession to the
international initiative of transparency on oil extractives.
