CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO AZERBAIJAN VISITS ORIENTAL STUDIES INSTITUTE IN BAKU
Ambassador of the People`s Republic of China to Azerbaijan Chzhan Yannyan on 25 May visited the Oriental Studies Institute in Baku. The Chinese guest familiarized himself with current state of oriental studies in Azerbaijan.
Rector of the Institute, Member of Parliament Govhar Bakhshaliyeva informed the guest on the traditions of oriental studies in Azerbaijan. Noting importance of studying the Chinese history, literature and culture, Bakhshaliyeva emphasized that bilateral relations have wider potential. It would benefit both sides, she stressed.
Ambassador Chzhan Yannyan expressed readiness to cooperate in the mentioned area to train post-graduate researchers and professional orientalists for Azerbaijan.
