Bahrain praises UAE economic growth

Geneva, Mar.22 (BNA): The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Ambassador Dr. Yusuf AbdulKarim Bucheeri, issued a national statement in the context of the work of the fourth review of the trade policy of the United Arab Emirates at the World Trade Organization in Geneva. The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the positive transformations and economic growth witnessed by the UAE, especially within the framework of the country’s Centennial Vision 2071. It praised the UAE’s implementation of many initiatives within the framework of its national agenda 2021, which resulted in an improvement through many economic indicators and significant progress in promoting a stronger and more resilient economy that will accelerate the global economic recovery from the pandemic. The Ambassador also highlighted the special and joint relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which have been greatly enhanced and nurtured by the leaders of the two brotherly countries, as they were entrusted with a prominent focus on enhancing the volume of inter- and dynamic trade and investment exchanges and the sustainable dynamism of coordination efforts related to trade and investment. He concluded the statement of the Kingdom of Bahrain by expressing the aspiration for great interest and future investment opportunities in the United Arab Emirates and its growing potential to attract foreign direct investment to the region. He emphasized the role that the United Arab Emirates plays as a strong, influential and long-term member of the World Trade Organization and the system and for its active and constructive role in many negotiations and its pioneering work within the League of Arab States and the Cooperation Council to protect the rights of developing countries.
