Speaker meets parliamentary groups

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal met with heads of the geopolitical parliamentary groups in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). The meeting was held with Eurasia Group President Aigul Saifollakyzy Kuspan, Latin American and Caribbean Group President Blas Llano and IPU’s African Group President Eddy Mundela Kanku, on the sideline of the 144th General Assembly of IPU. Zainal stressed the roles of legislative councils and parliaments, which contribute to strengthening joint relations, expressing great pride in the approach adopted by Bahrain in building brotherly relations with all countries of the world. She highlighted the values and principles of peace, dialogue, tolerance and coexistence, which is a translation of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty the King.
