MILLI MAJLIS CHAIRMAN MEETS TURKISH FM

Baku, May 26 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Parliament, the Milli Majlis, Ogtay Asadov today has met Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu.
Asadov praised the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, saying “they have solid foundations and nothing could damage them”.
The Azeri Speaker highly praised the Turkish Minister`s statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Baku.
Asadov said the parliaments play key role in expanding the overall relations between the two countries.
“Our MPs share the same position on principle issues on the international arena.”
Davutoglu said his Baku talks focused on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute, as well as prospects for bilateral economic and cultural cooperation between the two states.
Head of the Milli Majlis Administration Safa Mirzayev, Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov and Turkey`s ambassador in Baku Hulusi Kilic were present in the meeting.
