SOFAZ EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MEETS WB REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Baku, May 27 (AzerTAc). Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ) Shahmar Movsumov has met here today with Regional Director for the World Bank’s South Caucasus Country Department Asad Alam
Movsumov briefed Alam on Fund`s activity, assets management, application of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Azerbaijan.
Alem praised Fund`s accomplishments in ensuring transparency and applying EITI.
Discussion also dealt with the situation in the world financial markets, economic reforms in Azerbaijan, role of oil sector in Azerbaijan, impact of oil revenues, effectiveness of WB-funded programs and other issues.
