PARLIAMENT CONFIRMS REPORT OF PERFORMANCE OF AZERBAIJAN`S STATE BUDGET FOR 2008

Baku, 29 May (AzerTAc). At the session of Milli Majlis on 29 May, parliamentarians discussed the bill “On performance of Azerbaijan`s state budget for 2008”.
Addressing the session, chairman of the economic policy standing committee Ziyad Samadzade said the report was prepared in accordance with requirements of the Law “On Budget System”.
“Relative stabilization of economic situation in Azerbaijan yet does not give the grounds to the government to relax”, stated the chairman of Board of Central Bank Elman Rustamov speaking at the discussions of the report on state budget performance for 2008.
According to him, “the present price of oil in the world market is favorable to Azerbaijan and in the near future currency reserves of the country will increase. At his words, the course of Azerbaijani mantas is stable.”
Chairman of the MM Economic Policy Standing Committee Samadzade especially stressed that the government, the ministries of finance, economic development, taxes, the Central Bank, the state customs committee and other relevant structures taking part in forming the state budget have timely reacted to the world economic crisis and took certain measures.
As it was stated in reports of the minister of finance Samir Sharifov and chairman of Board of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov the state mortgage crediting within the next few days will be renewed. The conditions of the social mortgage provide allocation no more than 35 thousand AZN under 4 % annual with term in 30 years, he underlined.
The state budget receipts for 2008 have made 10 762, 7 million AZN against predicted 10 484 million AZN, while the expenses of the state budget on 2008 have made 10 774, 2 million AZN against predicted 11 060,6 million AZN.
