Many Farms in South Hwanghae Province Finish Rice-transplanting

Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- More than 200 farms in South Hwanghae Province rounded off rice-transplanting in the main. The province promotes rice-transplanting at the final stage. Agricultural officials in the province, cities and counties intensify guidance over farming, while revving up the public anti-epidemic atmosphere to cope with the current health crisis and persistent drought. Co-op farms in Anak and Jaeryong counties finished rice-transplanting before others in the province amid a hot collective emulation drive in which one overtakes and learns from others. Agricultural workers in Haeju City, Unchon, Unryul and Paechon counties prioritized the processes for rice-transplanting and ensured the number of clusters per phyong and the number of plants per cluster to conclude the rice-transplanting in a qualitative way. Agricultural workers in Yonan, Chongdan and Sinchon counties and volunteers push forward with rice-transplanting at the final stage by directing efforts to boosting the rate of rooting of rice seedlings. -0-
