Kia Motors posts 0.5 pct fall in May sales

SEOUL, June 1 (Yonhap) -- Kia Motors Corp., South Korea's second-largest
automaker, said Monday its sales fell 0.5 percent in May, hurt by weak exports.

Kia, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Co., sold 122,163 units last month with
exports falling 12.8 percent to 84,061 units, while domestic sales jumped 44
percent to 38,102 units, the company said in a regulatory filing.
