Ways to enhance Bahrain-UK relations in oil, environment discussed

Manama, July 19 (BNA): Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, has affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen its relations with the United Kingdom across various fields, particularly environment and oil. He also underlined the importance of advancing joint coordination between the two friendly countries to better serve common interests and goals. The minister made the statements while receiving here today the UK Ambassador to Bahrain, Roderick Drummond. During the meeting, Dr. Bin Daina commended the efforts exerted by the envoy to bolster cooperation between the two friendly countries. He also praised the role played by the UK in supporting efforts to consolidate sustainable development and green economy, as well as confront the effects of climate change. The British ambassador affirmed his country's keenness to carry on cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields in order to achieve the common aspirations of the two friendly countries.
