Areas for Raising Oil-bearing Crops Expanded in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Farms in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK cultivate the oil-bearing crops in line with their regional characteristics. Officials and workers in the agricultural sector of the province found more non-farming areas and thus expanded the areas for raising oil-bearing crops including rape, sunflower and perilla by 1.3 times as compared with the same period of the last year. The officials take measures to efficiently use the land and push ahead with the work for generalizing the achievements and experience of advanced units. -0-
