AZERI FM RECEIVES COPY OF CREDENTIALS FROM BRAZILIAN AMBASSADOR
Baku, June 1 (AzerTAc). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has today received the copy of credentials from newly appointed ambassador of Brazil to the country Paolo Antonio Pereira Pinton.
The Brazilian envoy said he was pleased to continue his career in Azerbaijan, and vowed to make every effort to contribute to boosting cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador noted his country was interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan.
Minister Mammadyarov said the fact that Brazil decided to open its embassy in Azerbaijan would contribute to developing bilateral cooperation.
He also told of the existing opportunities for cooperation in political, economic, energy, tourism and culture spheres.
The Minister pointed out establishing contacts between diplomatic academies of Azerbaijan and Brazil, exchange of experience between young diplomats would be useful for both countries.
He also briefed the ambassador on the ongoing talks to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
