PM confirms Yemen's vow to offer all requirements to fulfill


SANA'A, June 02 (Saba)- Prime Minister Ali Mujawar affirmed
commitment of Yemen to offer all requirements to fulfill goal of
education for all as a basic element of achieving the human
development.

In annual meeting for reviewing the national strategy for developing
the basic education, Mujawar pointed out to the importance of
evaluating the level of implementation for the strategy to develop
the education and overcome all faults.

He said that the process of evaluation is very important for any
fields, adding that the meeting should come out with recommendations
which contribute to exist developed basic education in the nation by
finding out solutions for all obstacles facing implementation of the
strategy.

Mujawar conveyed congregations of President Ali Abdullah Saleh for
all workers in educational sector on 19th anniversary of
establishing republic of Yemen and re-unification.

For his part, the Minister of Education Abdul Salam al-Jaofi said
that the ministry built 1,234 schools and trained 55,846 teachers
last year, adding that there is an initial vision over restructuring
the ministry.

Al-Jaofi pointed out to the role of the government in supporting the
sector as a key component of the development, reviewing obstacles
facing the ministry.

The ministry could not teach English as basic curriculum in fourth
level of basic education due to lack of financial capacities, he
said.

A Coordinator of donors Suzan Iyari confirmed support of the donors
for education in Yemen, saying that the ministry achieved positive
results in field of the basic education.

She pointed out to the support of the donors to implement the
strategy and encourage girls to enroll in schools.

Some 256 leaderships in ministry of education were taking part in
the meeting to review the strategy and version of restructuring the
ministry
