China plans to allocate money to support Olympic athletes of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2022. / Kabar /. The Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan plans to provide material support to the Olympic athletes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 100 thousand yuan (1 million 180 thousand KGS), the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Such an intention was expressed by Chinese Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen during a meeting withMinister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov. During the meeting, the ambassador said that in 2022 the embassy plans to provide financial support to the Olympic athletes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 100 thousand yuan (1 million 180 thousand soms). In turn, the minister noted that the Kyrgyz side highly appreciates the assistance provided by the embassy and will send its priority proposals as they are identified together with the National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the ministry said in its press release. Within the framework of the negotiations, the sides noted that Kyrgyzstan and China, being friendly neighbors and partners, continue to develop and deepen cooperation in the cultural sphere through joint events. So, on January 5, 2022 at the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic a concert was held dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. In addition, the embassy regularly provides grant assistance to children's music schools in the country through the transfer of musical instruments. As a result of the meeting, it was decided that the ministry would send priority proposals for receiving financial assistance under the program to support Olympic athletes of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of 100,000 yuan.
