Basic Education Development Project extended three years

SANA'A, June 03 (Saba) - Yemen and donor countries and organizations
have approved here extending the Basic Education Development project
to 3 years till 2012.

A meeting gathered Education Ministry's leaders and representatives
of donor organizations in Yemen has also agreed on re-construct the
project and the commitment to provide financial allocations for the
coming three years.

The meeting chaired by the Minister of Education Abdul-Salam
al-Jawfi has approved supplying all the technical requirements to
the project.

Moreover, the meeting reviewed education activities carried out this
year, 2009, under the Basic Education Development project worth $130
million financed be the government and donors.
