SCSS organizes 1st forum energy security in Yemen

SANA'A, June 03 (Saba) - The 1st Forum of Energy Security and
Development in Yemen organized by Sheba Center for Strategic Studies
(SCSS) on 2 - 3 June, started in Sana'a on Wednesday, the 26sept.net
reported Wednesday.

The participants discussed several issues concerned with energy
security and development issues such as the government's dependence
on oil and natural gas as income resources for the coming ten years
and the required reforms to vary the resources of incomes.

The Forum also focuses on oil and natural gas markets in terms of
opportunities and challenges and the now horizons of oil companies'
investments.

The participants highlighted the government's policies and programs
to reform power sector in Yemen, terrorist hazards on oil sector,
financial crisis's impacts on oil prices and the future of oil and
gas.
