Yemeni-Saudi talks on agricultural exports due next week
SANA'A, June 03 (Saba) - Yemeni-Saudi talks over agricultural
exports from and to both neighbors are due next week in Sana'a.
A Saudi delegation led by Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry
Abdullah al-Hamoudi will arrive in the country and hold a prolonged
meeting, which will gather the delegation members, Yemeni officials
at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Agricultural
Cooperative Union and representatives for the Yemeni agricultural
producers.
At the meeting, the union will put forward a proposal for setting up
a Yemeni-Saudi Transport Company to carry agricultural products from
and to both countries, said head of the Yemeni Agricultural
Cooperative Union Muhammad Basheer.
On the matter, Basheer noted that the Yemeni Cooperative and
Agricultural Credit Bank CAC Bank will offer facilitations for the
Mohammed Abdallah Sharbatly Corporation, in sing for the company
which a Yemeni delegation will visit to finalize a deal for
facilitating and boosting agricultural exports between the two
countries.
The delegation will comprise of members from the bank and the
ministry.
In this regard, the bank will allocate agricultural product export
centers for agricultural cooperative in the country and regulate
Yemeni agricultural exports.
In unrelated news, the union has announced a preparatory committee
for the establishment of Yemeni agricultural exporters has been set
up.
