AZERI JUSTICE MINISTER MEETS HEAD OF OSCE OFFICE IN BAKU
Baku, 4 June (AzerTAc). Justice Minister of Azerbaijan Fikrat Mammadov met Wednesday with the Head of the OSCE Office in Baku Ali Bilge Cankorel.
Mammadov said there was a fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OSCE.
The Minister briefed Cankorel on ongoing legal reforms in the country, including the work done to develop justice bodies.
Cankorel praised the reforms and said the OSCE Office in Baku is willing to expand cooperation with the Justice Ministry even more.
The diplomat noted he had familiarized himself with “the favorable conditions created in Baku`s pretrial detention centre”.
The sides also discussed protection of human rights, organizing trainings in Judicial-Legal Council, educational events for judges and other questions.
Ali Bilge Cankorel also familiarized himself with the Justice History Museum.
