SPEAKER OF AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT MEETS HEADS OF PARLIAMENT ADMINISTRATIONS OF TURKIC SPEAKING COUNTRIES` PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY MEMBER STATES
Baku, 5 June (AzerTAc). Speaker of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament) Ogtay Asadov met with heads of Parliament Administration of Turkic Speaking Countries` Parliamentary Assembly member states, on Thursday.
Mr. Asadov underlined that this event is preparatory work to the meeting of the Turkic Speaking Countries` Parliamentary Assembly member states, which is to take place in Baku, September 28-29. Speaker noted that establishment of Turkic speaking countries` Parliamentary Assembly was an important event in the life of Turkic nations. He emphasized that the organization would play a significant role in improvement of cooperation of Turkic speaking countries.
Heads of Parliament Administrations underlined that the event was highly organized. They stressed significance of the documents, which are to be signed here.
Position of Turkic speaking countries` Parliamentary Assembly, development of interparliamentary relations, role of legislative body in deepening of intergovernmental ties, charter of the organization and other issues of mutual interest were in the focus of meeting.
Head of Milli Majlis Administration Safa Mirzoyev, Secretary General of Turkish Grand National Assembly Ali Osman Koca, Head of Kyrgyzstan Parliament Administration Suyumbek Kasmambetov and head of Administration of Kazakhstan Senate Serik Sidikov were present at the meeting.
