BAKU HOSTING CONFERENCE ON REGULATION OF ONLINE MEDIA IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, June 5 (AzerTAc). The Council of Europe Baku office and Azerbaijan`s National TV and Radio Council launched today a conference entitled “Regulation of Online Media in Azerbaijan”.
Addressing the event, head of the socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said: “It is impossible to imagine today`s life of society without internet. The Internet has intervened in all spheres of the society. But online media sometimes creates problems for state and people. So today internet is not a problem of Azerbaijan and its society, but also is a problem for the whole world”.
Representative of the Council of Europe Baku office Veronika Kotek said Europe is also trying to settle problems appeared in online media.
Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov spoke of work done to develop and improve internet in the country.
