Doha, October 13 (QNA) - In their Thursday editorials, Qatari newspapers emphasized the distinguished Qatari-Kazakh relations built on mutual trust and respect. The relations are broad and multifaceted, covering various fields, including politics, trade, economy, investment, and cultural exchange, the papers said, referring to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's affirmation that he held with HE President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expanded and constructive discussions on the strong relations between the two countries, and expressed his happiness at the significant and continuous growth of the bilateral relations in various fields, especially economic, trade and investment The newspapers unanimously agreed that the fruitful results of His Highness’s visit to the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan, which witnessed the signing of a large number of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) in the fields of trade, investment, education, culture, arts, sports, tourism, business events, agriculture, healthcare, and others, represent a strong impetus for the existing cooperation between the two countries and achieving more common goals. Al-Watan newspaper said in its editorial that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held an official session of talks with HE President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Ak Orda Presidential Palace in the capital Astana on Wednesday morning. During the talk’s session, the two sides discussed cooperation ties between the two countries and ways of enhancing and developing them, mainly in the fields of economy, investment, culture, and sports, in addition to regional and international issues of common concern. HH the Amir and HE the President of Kazakhstan also held earlier a meeting during which they discussed aspects of bolstering the cooperation between the two friendly countries and a number of issues of common concern. The newspaper pointed out that the relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kazakhstan, spanning three decades, are characterized by stability and growth, with the two countries' keenness on developing them in various fields. The two countries have strong relations based on mutual respect, which will reflect positively on all forms of cooperation between them, it added. The relations between Qatar and Kazakhstan date back almost 30 years. The relations between the two countries were established in 1993 at a high level, and are still growing well in many fields. Qatar has been keen to expand mutual visits between the two countries for the benefit of both countries and their peoples, the paper said. In conclusion, Al-Watan praised the signing of a number of agreements and MoU between Qatar and Kazakhstan, confirming their keenness to push cooperation forward to achieve their common desire to build better and stronger relations. In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial that the fruitful results of the state visit paid by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan, which witnessed the signing of a large number of agreements and MoUs between the two countries in the fields of trade, investment, education, culture, arts, sports, tourism, business, agriculture, healthcare, and others, are a strong impetus for the existing cooperation between the two countries and the achievement of more joint goals. The newspaper hailed the official reception ceremony accorded for His Highness at the Ak Orda Presidential Palace in the capital, Astana, and His Highness' award of the Order of the Golden Eagle "Altyn Qyran" - Kazakhstan's highest order awarded to the heads of friendly countries - reflecting the extent of the Republic of Kazakhstan's interest in His Highness' visit and appreciation for His Highness' efforts and his role in deepening the bonds of relations between the two friendly countries. In a speech on this occasion, HE the Kazakh President expressed that the order represents a golden page in the history of relations between the two countries. In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that Qatari-Kazakh relations are promised to reach the stage of strategic partnership soon, thanks to the joint will of His Highness and HE President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper stressed that the Qatari-Kazakh relations are close and prosperous, and are based on mutual trust and respect and on a common destiny and heritage, covering various fields, including politics, trade, economy, investment and cultural exchange. The newspaper highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's affirmation that he had held with HE President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expanded and constructive discussions on the strong relations between the two countries, and expressed his happiness at the significant and continuous growth of the bilateral relations in various fields, especially economic, trade and investment. HH the Amir, the paper said, stressed the importance of the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides, most importantly the agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments which will give strong impetus to the existing cooperation between the two countries and achieving more joint accomplishments. The paper pointed out that Doha and Astana represent a strategic and vital depth for each other, as the Qatari-Kazakh relations are rooted in history and have always been a role model. There is no doubt that the results of the talks will consolidate these relations and transform them from bilateral relations of cooperation to a strategic partnership in various fields, especially as there is a common desire and keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to continue supporting and strengthening these relations in various fields. The daily underlined that in light of Doha's constant endeavor to strengthen strategic alliances with Asian countries, HH the Amir will lead on Thursday the State of Qatar's delegation to the sixth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) to be held in Kazakhstan's capital city of Astana, noting that the summit comes as the 27-member bloc marks its 30th anniversary and prepares for the launch of its gradual transformation process. Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that Qatar regularly participates in all the summit's activities and seeks to strengthen cooperation relations with member states and open more horizons for partnership with those countries, which reinforces Qatar's global prestigious position in the field of multilateral international action and supports confidence-building measures in Asian continent. Under the headline "Enhancing cooperation", The Peninsula newspaper said that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's ongoing visit to Kazakhstan will take ties between the two countries to broader horizons, adding that HH the Amir will also participate in the sixth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on Thursday. Qatar and Kazakhstan are discussing ways to boost ties in trade, investment and other fields, as the visit witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries, the paper said. These included an agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments, which will provide strong impetus to the existing cooperation between the two countries and lead to achieving more joint accomplishments, it added. The two sides also signed an agreement for cooperation in higher education, an MoU to promote tourism and hold business events, as well as MoUs for cooperation in agriculture and diplomatic training, the paper said, adding that Doha and Astana are also exploring avenues to enhance cooperation in healthcare, standardisation and metrology, food supplies and security, and mining. In conclusion, The Peninsula stressed that HH the Amir's visit will take Qatar-Kazakhstan relations to new heights ahead of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Doha and Astana.
