Yemen ambassador hands over credentials to Portuguese President

PARIS, June 05 (Saba)- Portuguese President Anibal Antonio Cavaco
Silva met on Friday in Paris Yemen non-resident ambassador to
Portugal Ismail al-Akwa who handed him his credentials as appointed
by Yemen.

The ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Ali
Abdullah Saleh to President Cavaco.

For his part, Cavaco praised the bilateral ties of Yemen and
Portugal, asking the ambassador to convey his greetings to President
Saleh.

The meeting reviewed the historical and diplomatic relations between
the two countries.
