Possibility of opening franchises of American companies to be discussed in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2022. / Kabar /. On Tuesday, October 25, Bishkek will host a meeting of domestic entrepreneurs with representatives of US companies, the press service of the National Investment Agency said.
The parties will discuss the possibility of opening franchises in Kyrgyzstan following the example of KFC and Coca-Cola. This issue was preliminarily discussed at the meeting of Director of the Agency Umbriel Temiraliev with Executive Director of the American-Kyrgyz Business Council Elena Son.
During the conversation, it was noted that American companies are interested in investment projects in Kyrgyzstan, and are now engaged in the analysis of the competitive environment and commodity market in Kyrgyzstan.
The head of the Agency indicated that Kyrgyzstan is one of the countries where such world franchises as Coca-Cola and KFC are presented, which confirms the economic potential of the republic.
“We would like to provide Kyrgyz entrepreneurs with the opportunity to choose franchising well-known companies, which will contribute to the development of healthy competition and the creation of new jobs. And this will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the country's economy and social level,” Temiraliev said.
The parties agreed to provide assistance in resolving any issues so that domestic entrepreneurs would establish cooperation with large American companies.
The US-Kyrgyzstan Business Council was founded by the largest companies such as General Electric and AGCO, Baker & McKenzie LLP. The companies united and created a Council to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States and attract American investments to the country.
