Maritime Ports Committee Concludes Training Meeting on Ports Security and Safety

Doha, October 24 (QNA) - Doha Institute for Graduate Studies concluded Monday a training meeting entitled "National Strategic Reading in Establishing Security and Safety of Ports", which was organized by the Permanent Committee for the Management of Maritime Ports at the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Excellence Center for Training and Consulting at the Institute. 30 officers of the committee's members working in Hamad International Port participated in the training meeting, which lasted for three days. The closing ceremony was attended by Chairperson of the Committee Brigadier Dr. Abdulhadi Mohammad Zabin Al Dosari and CEO of the Administrative and Financial Division at the institute, and Acting Director for the Excellence Center Eman Al Sulaiti. This training meeting comes to upgrade the skills of the working cadres and the participating entities in the facilities of Hamad International Port, to implement security and safety plans in the port, and to learn about the most prominent and most important technologies in this field. Brigadier Dr. Abdulhadi Al Dosari affirmed the importance of these training meetings, pointing out that the strategy of the Permanent Committee for the Management of Maritime Ports and the parties involved with it in achieving the national strategy in establishing security and safety of ports. He explained that in the context of working to raise the efficiency of the trainees and the level of responsible leaders at the seaports and exchanging experiences, and in support of the committee's efforts to adopt a new method in the training courses for the annual plan for 2023, this training meeting was held in cooperation with the Excellence Center for Training and Consulting of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, expressing his thanks to the Center, and to everyone who contributed to this meeting. For her part, Eman Al Sulaiti expressed her thanks for this cooperation between the Center and the Permanent Committee for the Management of Maritime Ports, which reflects the trust existed between the two sides, praising the selection of these advanced and modern courses that transfer internationally approved techniques to bring about an important shift in the field of institutional work in the committee. At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed, the trainees were honored, and memorial shields were exchanged between the two sides. (QNA)
