Doha, October 26 (QNA) - In their Wednesday editorials, Qatari newspapers highlighted the important messages contained in HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's speech at the opening of the second ordinary session of the first legislative term, corresponding to the 51st annual session of the Shura Council on Tuesday morning. The speech's content expressed the comprehensive aspirations and achievements made in the march of the State of Qatar.
The newspapers noted that His Highness' speech before the Shura Council contained the main pillars that were achieved despite the challenges that the world is currently going through, laid the foundations for the State's policy in the next stage, and highlighted the major occasion, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In its editorial, Al-Watan newspaper said that the speech of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the opening of the second ordinary session of the first legislative term, corresponding to the 51st annual session of the Shura Council was adequate and comprehensive. In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper confirmed that HH the Amir's speech was comprehensive, as it expressed aspirations and achievements made in Qatar's march with the help of members of the Shura Council's right opinion and care for the public interest and government work.
The newspaper said that the work of the Shura Council is being held at a historical time characterized by giving, achieving, and facing challenges to launch an integrated preparation for the major historical event, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Al-Sharq noted His Highness' assertion that the global interest in this event as well as in the host country reveals the extent of the significance of this event for our country. His Highness' speech also contained many main pillars built on the achievements made despite the challenges that the world is currently facing, and laid the foundations for the state's policy in the next stage, the paper added.
The newspaper said that His Highness reiterated that the country’s comprehensive development remains the ultimate goal that the State is working to achieve, and continues steadily to fulfill its requirements at all levels, reorganizing the structural reform of government agencies, bodies, institutions, and public companies to increase their efficiency and compatibility with the requirements of this age, and expanding the use of the electronic systems to ensure the efficiency of government performance, implement the development plans expeditiously and timely, and facilitate citizen-oriented amenities and services.
In conclusion, Al-Sharq emphasized that the most prominent message in His Highness’s speech is the human being, as HH said, "building the human being, the responsible citizen who is able to serve as a foundation for all of this, and who knows his national duties and rights, while acknowledging the value of what he has, and looking forward to what goes beyond the values of materialistic consumerism, and placing quintessence above ostentation, while understanding that above all religion is ethics, and realizing that initiative and action is better than the dependency that triggers grumbling and complaining, and that criticism is useful only when it is based on correct information and contextual understanding, in addition to being appreciative of the role of everyone who works in this country."

HH also hailed the efforts of brotherly and friendly countries which have put their capabilities at Qatar's disposal, because the championship is for all, and its success is success for all, the paper noted.
Al-Raya indicated that the economic file was also strongly present in His Highness's speech, through direct messages and important figures regarding the achievements made, noting that thanks to the lofty directives, well-thought-out plans and advance strategies, the State of Qatar was at the forefront of countries that succeeded in addressing the negative effects of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the inflation rate in Qatar on an annual basis reached only 4.6%, lower than the inflation rates in many developed countries, as the State was keen on taking many measures to reduce inflation, including ensuring the provision of basic commodities such as foodstuffs, and monitoring prices.
The daily also highlighted HH the Amir's affirmation that bureaucratic obstacles as well as complex and contradictory procedures must be averted, in addition to plugging legal loopholes that constitute a hindrance to investment, economic initiatives, and the establishment of projects from inside and outside.
HH stressed that the State is working on amending the legislation regulating foreign investment to remove the obstacles facing that investment, projecting Qatar at the international level as an incubator for direct international investment and improving the investment environment, in addition to opening the way for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf to engage in new activities such as shipping services, advertising, stock trading and establishing companies, paper said.
