VP inaugurates local authority sub-conference in Abyan

ABYAN, June 06 (Saba) - Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi
inaugurated on Saturday the local authority's sub-conference in
Abyan governorate.

In the conference chaired by the Vice President, Abyan Governor
Ahmed al-Maisari affirmed the importance of the conference to give
more power to the local authorities.

The governor added that the conference would deal with a number of
the important issues related to the developmental conditions
improvement and promoting the level of public services.

Subsequently, three papers were presented in the conference dealing
with the local ruling strategy, the development in the governorate
and the general report of the local authority.

The papers reviewed the strategic vision for building the local
ruling system, which will contribute to achieving the development
and presenting services to citizens at various levels.

The papers presented to the conference indicated to the successes
achieved in the governorate at the developmental level, especially
in sectors of education, health, roads, water and the infrastructure
in general.

The conferees affirmed the significance of giving the complete power
to the local authorities to perform its role within the local ruling
of total power.

The sub-conference's sessions would be resumed on Sunday.
