Prime Minister inaugurates development projects in Dhamar

DHAMAR, June 06 (Saba)- Prime Minister Ali Mujawar inaugurated a
number of developmental and service projects here on Saturday. The
total worth of projects is estimated at YR 7.7 billion.

Mujawar, along with Governor of Dhamar and Minister of Public Works
and Roads, inaugurated the project of paving roads by stones in
Dhamar old city. The area of the project is 155392 square kilo meter
with the cost of YR 1.164 billion.

He also inaugurated the project of lightening Ma'abar City's
entrances with the cost of YR 105,8 million and lightening Utma
District's Center with the cost of YR 16.5 million.

He was briefed by the Head of Roads Observing Unit Ahmad al-Okr over
roads projects being built across the governorate. The total cost of
these projects is more than YR 51 billion. 10147 kilo meters of
roads have been accomplished.

Mujawar then laid foundation stones to water and sanitation project
in Dhamar, second phase, with the total cost of YR 2 billion funded
by the government and the World Bank and the Northern Area Project
of the city with the cost of YR 369 million funded by the government.

The two projects aim to enhance supplies of clean drinking water to
all Dhamar city and contribution in improving the environmental
situation and protecting people against diseases resulted in
sanitation water overflow.

He also laid foundation stone to computer and information technology
college project with the cost of 675 million funded by government
and foundation stone to college of education project of Dhamar
University funded by Social Development Fund.
