Minister of Culture Partakes in GCC Ministers of Culture 26th Meeting to Boost Joint Gulf Cultural Work

Doha, October 26 (QNA) - HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani participated Wednesday in the 26th meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies GCC Ministers of Culture at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh. Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries, for supporting the process of cultural work in the GCC countries, and for their noble directives at the 42nd session of the esteemed Supreme Council. The meeting discussed the process of cultural work in the GCC countries, the so far accomplishments in the 2020-2030 GCC cultural strategy, and many proposals and visions that would support the process of joint Gulf cultural work. On the sidelines of the meeting, a ceremony was held to honor two innovators from each of the GCC countries. The two Qatari innovators honored in the ceremony were Qatar University's Arabic Language Prof. Ali Ahmed Ali Al Kubaisi, who is also member of the Scientific Council of the Doha Historical Dictionary, and Researcher, Restoration Expert and Artist Ahmed Ali Abel.
