Lebanese Army Receives New Batch of Financial Support From Qatar

Beirut, October 27 (QNA) - The leadership of the Lebanese Army received the third batch of the financial support announced by the State of Qatar within the framework of supporting the Lebanese army as a contribution to supporting the salaries of the army elements. In a statement, the Lebanese army stated that such step underscores the State of Qatar's stand with Lebanese soldiers to support them during the force majeure witnessed by the country. Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces Gen. Joseph Aoun extended his sincere thanks to Qatar for its honorable stance in supporting the military institution, the last one was this valuable gift. On June 2022, the State of Qatar announced that it had provided $60 million within the framework of supporting the Lebanese army, it had also announced its support to the Lebanese army in July 2021 with 70 tons of foodstuff monthly for one year.
