Police College Celebrates 5th Batch Specialized Training Courses Graduation

Doha, October 29 (QNA) - The Police College celebrated today the graduation of cadets from the College's fifth batch, for the specialized courses of thunderbolt, diving, and parachute jumping. The ceremony, which was held in the theater hall at the Police Institute, was attended by HE the Advisor to HE the Minister of Interior, the Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Police College Major General Dr. Abdullah Yusuf Al Mal, and several departments directors and senior officers from various military authorities. HE Major General Dr. Abdullah Yusuf Al Mal presented the graduates with the courses' badges and honored several authorities for their efforts in training the Police College candidates in the specialized courses. The ceremony began with the screening of a documentary film about the stages of the thunderbolt, diving, and parachute jumping courses, as well as the major training the students received. The Police College Director-General Brigadier Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti expressed his happiness that the candidates passed the specialized courses and stated that these courses qualify candidates to tackle various security tasks, given the diverse and distinct training they include, which develop the candidates' field skills and raise their security capabilities, pointing out these programs require high physical fitness and endurance, as well as psychological and mental readiness, in addition to decision-making ability. For his part, the Director of the Training Department at the Police College Major Fahad Saeed Al Subaie congratulated the fifth batch students for receiving course badges, stressing that the student's mastery of all the exercises and complex scenarios in the specialized courses came as a result of the quality of the level of the approved training program at the college. He added that the Police College is constantly working on updating its training programs, developing the skills of candidates, and keeping pace with the latest training plans and programs to qualify graduates to perform their future job duties efficiently and professionally. During the ceremony, the Head of the Military Training Department Major Abdullah Al Muhannadi said that since its establishment, the Police College has been keen on keeping pace with the best training programs in accordance with international standards approved for police colleges around the world. On behalf of the graduates, the candidate, Officer Ali Mohammed Nasser gave a speech where he said that after having spent three whole months in theoretical and practical training, and despite their difficulty and hard stages, the program turned out to be one of the most beautiful experiences in their lives because it provided them with various skills in diving, parachute jumping, and thunderbolt training. He added that the courses developed their capabilities in multiple fields. The graduate officer added that they underwent highly complex scenarios, preparing them to perform all the security tasks that will be entrusted to them in the future in a professional and distinguished manner. He elaborated that over the past years, the Police College has been the incubating environment for them, providing them with a training and educational environment that stimulates creativity, development, and analyzing, whilst still committing to all known military systems and traditions, and the ability to distribute roles and times, between military training and academic study with efficiency and merit. It is worth noting that the thunderbolt course was divided into two stages: starting with the first and preparatory stage, in which the students received theoretical and practical lectures, in addition to focusing on exercise to raise their physical fitness. The second and executive stage, in which it included field skill training, tower descending, self-defense, coexistence with the surrounding environment, long walks, and other exercises. (QNA)
