Ministry of Labor Reviews Phased Digital Transformation Project

Doha, November 09 (QNA) - The Ministry of Labor held Wednesday a forum for the digital transformation of services project, with the aim of informing government and semi-governmental agencies of the latest developments of the digital transformation project and the mechanisms for its implementation within the ministry's strategy aimed at transforming all services electronically. The forum was attended by a number of Undersecretaries of Ministries and CEOs of government and semi-governmental agencies. Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs of the Ministry of Labor Mohamed Hassan Al Obaidly confirmed that the ministry launched last April the digital transformation unit, which has a positive impact in completing the launch of about 55 percent of its services electronically, pointing to the strategy of digital transformation of services that contributed to achieving excellence in performance and speed of achievement the transactions and procedures are streamlined. He highlighted that the Digital Transformation Unit used the latest digital technologies that depend on the "Agile" methodology, noting the launch of the cloud computing procession in October aimed at raising the level of data and reports on demand to take advantage of artificial intelligence to facilitate the decision-making process that would enhance cooperation and sharing between all governmental and semi-governmental agencies. He pointed out the need to enhance cooperation and coordination between all governmental and semi-governmental agencies to develop services provided to the public in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. The forum reviewed the stages of development of the digital transformation project and the cloud computing process in the Ministry of Labor, and how to streamline, develop and improve e-services. The forum discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership between the Ministry of Labor and various authorities in the country to benefit from MoL's digital transformation project. (QNA)
