Qatar 2022/ Officials, Media Professionals Call to Make Qatar's Experience a Guiding Light in Organizing World Cup Next Editions

Doha, November 12 (QNA) - In continuation of the global echoes of the State of Qatar’s experience in preparing to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the unique and exceptional edition of the tournament that is being held for the first time in an Arab Islamic country, international praise for Qatar’s achievements in organizing the sporting event is hardly interrupted. In this regard, a number of officials, writers, media professionals and sports stars in a number of countries in the world and the Arab countries believe that the achievements made by the State of Qatar and its great preparations to organize the tournament should be a guiding light for the countries of the world in preparing to host the next editions of the FIFA World Cup. For her part, France's Minister of Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Amelie Oudea-Castera, called on her country's fans to enjoy the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, take advantage of this opportunity, and head to Qatar, which welcomes all its guests, gets to know it and watch football matches. The French official said, in an interview with France Info radio, "I hope to attend the World Cup in Qatar and follow the performance of our team, which I also wish to reach the final rounds of this tournament, and certainly with the French team reaching the quarter-finals, I will come to support our team". With regard to the message sent by the International Football Association (FIFA), in which it called on the participating teams in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to focus on football, stop moral lessons, and not be drawn into moral and political talk, she said that this step falls within the framework of the federation's tasks, and everyone should focus on the sports aspect. For his part, Mario Innaurato, the former fitness coach of the Belgian national team, said on Belgian television LN24 that Qatar World Cup matches will be held within a range where the distance between the two farthest stadiums does not exceed 100 km, and therefore the players will not feel fatigue, unlike previous tournaments, where players had to travel on planes for three hours, and go to the airport after each match, which was causing fatigue for the players, while in the current edition, players will be able to go directly to their accommodation to rest. For his part, the Saudi writer, Dr. Hani Al-Qahtani, said that with the approaching whistle of the start of this major football event, the voices of criticism against the state of Qatar, the host of the tournament, started for reasons that were announced, and some of which were not known, and it seems that assigning the task of organizing a major football event such as the FIFA World Cup to an Arab Islamic country did not appeal to some countries. He added that Qatar's preparations to organize and host this major sporting event are more than wonderful, and perhaps the proximity of the distances between the eight stadiums where all the tournament matches will be held, and the presence of all fans of all teams within this space, is an unprecedented event in the history of the World Cup tournaments, which is making this edition of the World Cup unique, rejecting the smear campaigns against the State of Qatar, which he said are condemned by the Gulf countries and all countries of the world, most of which have suffered from that condescending view. For his part, Juan Corellano, a journalist for the Spanish website La Media Ingles, considered in press statements that Qatar's reliance on football as a geopolitical strategy has had its effect. The Qataris have always been the smartest in this regard in the region, he said. He noted that a documentary film about Qatar hosting the World Cup will be broadcast later this week on La Media Ingles platform, He pointed out that the film is one of the few projects in Spanish that review the last 12 years that shook the global football environment in order to organize the World Cup in Qatar. As for the writer Ibrahim Wazan, he saw, in an article in the Lebanese newspaper Al-Benaa that from the moment of winning the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which was 12 years ago, a fierce war was waged against Qatar and talk about its inability of an organization that parallels the previous countries that hosted the World Cup, and today, while fallacies and fabrications are being broadcast, Qatar, with all its agencies and institutions, has completed all preparations to organize the World Cup. In turn, Vahid Hajipour, economic affairs editor for the Iranian newspaper, Jam-e Jam, said that despite the bad expectations about the global economy, Qatar is moving in a different direction, as the International Monetary Fund expects the growth of the Qatari economy, benefiting from the organization of the World Cup, citing global economic reports. He expected Qatar to achieve USD 17 billion from holding the tournament, and that the Qatari economy would witness significant growth thanks to the organization of the World Cup. (QNA)
