Doha, November 15 (QNA) - In their editorials Tuesday, Qatari newspapers highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to the main command center of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to be briefed on the preparations and measures taken for the global sporting event.
The newspapers also underlined the accelerating achievements in the State of Qatar a few days before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, an indication of the country's full readiness to be a unique global sports and tourism destination during the World Cup and beyond.
Al-Watan newspaper affirmed that HH the Amir's visit to the main command center of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at the Doha Exhibition Centre in Al Gassar area on Monday morning, reflects the full readiness, as His Highness was briefed on the FIFA main operations center, the host country main operations command center, and the preparations and measures taken for the global sporting event to ensure the achievement of the highest international standards in coordination and follow-up. His Highness met a number of senior officials from the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) and FIFA.
The paper said that everything is ready with the highest standards and in all aspects for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, whether with regard to sports facilities and infrastructure, or with regard to security and health measures for the fans to enjoy one of the best tournaments ever in the history of football.

Meanwhile, Al-Sharq said in its editorial that HH the Amir's visit to the main command center of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to be briefed on the preparations and measures taken for the global sporting event reflects the State of Qatar's readiness to host the World Cup and refutes the slanders directed against it, which increases as the tournament approaches.
The paper pointed out that the State of Qatar's official stance in international forums regarding the systematic negative campaign against it with racist motives from some parties that are not pleased with the organization of the World Cup in Doha, has clearly expressed its complete rejection of the hate campaign against the Qatari people themselves before the State and revealed the motives behind this fierce campaign and its goals.
Al-Sharq said in this context that HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri has refuted before the European Parliament the allegations of some countries and organizations about human rights violations in Qatar, and stressed that these allegations lack accuracy, credibility and integrity until they amounts to intellectual and media terrorism.
Despite the scale of reforms that have been implemented during the past decade, critics ignore them because they do not serve their misleading stories against Qatar and the development in the work environment, and this was confirmed by HE Minister of Labor, the paper said, indicating that the negative campaigns against labor reforms will not deter the country from organizing a historic World Cup in the State of Qatar, placing the European Parliament in front of its responsibility to take firm stances against all those who engage in racist attacks against the Qatari people.
HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri affirmed that Doha welcomes all fans without discrimination, pointing out that the World Cup will be one of the most beautiful and wonderful World Cup that draws joy and peace and corrects misconceptions on our Arab and Islamic region, Al-Sharq concluded.
In turn, Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial that just a few days before the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, achievements have accelerated in Qatar, indicating its readiness to be an international sports and tourism destination in the upcoming World Cup days and beyond. Qatar, which has prepared well for the tournament at all levels in terms of sports, logistics, and security, is also ready to provide its guests with an unprecedented and memorable tourism experience, showing Qatar's brilliance in exploiting its natural resources and distinguished environment.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani inaugurated Al Maha Island project in Lusail city. The newspaper pointed out that several teams arrived in the country and fans were present to welcome them at the airport and their bases, noting that Senegal, South Korea, and Tunisia arrived in Doha, and the Qatari team returned after spending months in Europe in preparing for the tournament.
For Qatar, hosting the tournament is a historic achievement being the first in the Middle East and the Arab world. Qatar had promised it would deliver the best tournament in history, and all signs point towards that as fans arrive in the country from all over the world, the paper said.
