Qatari Newspapers Editorials

Doha, November 19 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers highlighted in their editorials on Saturday Qatar's readiness ahead of a legendary opening of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022; stressing that preparations are all set for the kickstart of the first World Cup in the Middle East, amidst rising expectations that Qatar will deliver an exceptional and unique tournament.
The Qatari dailies underlined that Qatar post-World Cup Qatar will never be the same as before, and the world will discover its true image contrary to those promoted by Western media.
Under the headline "Qatar... Important Role in Sport Diplomacy", Al-Sharq noted the continued international praise of Qatar with the imminent launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, noting that Doha has completed all preparations and is fully ready for the kickstart of the first Middle East World Cup.
Al-Sharq pointed to the congratulations to Qatar and the rising expectations that Qatar World Cup will be exceptional and unique. In this context, the paper noted that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received yesterday a phone call from HE President of the friendly Russian Federation Vladimir Putin who congratulated the State of Qatar for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, wishing the Qatari team success in the tournament.
On the other hand, the paper noted the visit of the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Doha on Nov. 21-22 to launch the fifth US-Qatar Strategic Dialogue, and to support the US team in their first match in the World Cup. The US Secretary of State will also discuss Qatar’s important contribution to international sport diplomacy through its organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Al-Sharq said that the praise by Russian officials or other leaders of countries, officials, opinion-makers and free media, in addition to Qatar's remarkable achievements in all fields and significant contributions at the regional and international levels, all stand as evidence of what Qatar can accomplish with regard to this important event.
For its part, Qatari daily Al-Raya underlined that the lies and fabrications of the campaigns against Qatar World Cup will be exposed after the legendary and dazzling opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which will see a global professional organization and eye-catching stadiums, in an exceptional and unforgettable World Cup edition.
Qatar, which promised 12 years ago that it would build World Cup stadiums from scratch, was able to adapt the difficulties on the path of the first ancestors by turning desert sands into artistic structures that express creativity, Al-Raya said.
The paper noted the bias and racism against Qatar World Cup and the attempts to distort every success in various ways, such as the reversal of the facts when Western media said that the large crowds of Brazil, Argentina and England fans on the Doha Corniche are paid masses, for nothing but their different nationalities, languages and skin color, in abhorrent racism and willful ignorance by Western media that supposedly shape world public opinion.
Qatar fulfilled the promise and built impressive stadiums that will be the talk of the world during the tournament and after it for years. Qatar World Cup stadiums provides the world with innovative ideas for the future with stadiums that can be dismantled and re-installed, delivering the first environmentally friendly, carbon-neutral World Cup, Al-Raya said.
Meanwhile, Al-Watan said that all preparations have been completed while all eyes are on Al-Bayt Stadium which will witness the launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tomorrow, following years of preparation for the tournament to come out as we all aspire, befitting Qatar’s capabilities and all Arabs.
Hours separate us from the date, and there is nothing left but to wait for the opening moment to prove to the whole world Qatar's great, distinguished and exceptional preparations, through proper planning for everything, especially the security aspect to provide all means of security and safety to the fans, the players and the international delegations participating in this great sporting event, Al-Watan said.

Everyone is ready and awaiting the implementation of the plans set in each field with the efficiency and effectiveness required to enhance the reputation of the State of Qatar on the international arena, in addition to providing a wonderful experience for all participants and partners, and proving Qatar's effective management of all events related to the tournament, Al-Watan added.
Qatar's success will exceed expectations, and it will prove to the whole world that this World Cup will be the most exceptional of all, Al-Watan concluded.

Despite all the fake news and hostile media campaigns directed at Qatar, it persisted in demonstrating that it was deserving of hosting the 22nd edition of the quadrennial with the theme "Now is all."
"Now is all. Now begins tomorrow. Qatar is ready for you and for the world to see what this country can offer - from sports, tourism, transportation, arts, entertainment. We have it all," The Peninsula stressed.
