Doha, November 22 (QNA) - The Qatari newspapers published on Monday focused on HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's assertion, in his speech during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 held on Sunday evening at the Al Bayt Stadium, that people of all races, nationalities, beliefs, and orientations will gather in Qatar and around screens on all continents to share the same moments of excitement. His Highness stated how beautiful it is for people to set aside their differences to celebrate their diversity and what brings them together, the papers added.
The newspapers unanimously agreed that since the beginning, the State of Qatar dazzled the world and fulfilled its promise to present the best edition in the history of the World Cup.

Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that Qatar sent a message of hope to the world that the dream can become a reality as long as countries believe in their fortunes. Under the title "No to hate speech", The Peninsula said that hate speech covers many forms and the increasing spread of this ‘pandemic’ represents expressions which advocate, incite, promote or justify hatred, violence and discrimination against a person or group of persons for a variety of reasons.
In response to this alarming trend of growing xenophobia, racism and intolerance, violent misogyny, antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred around the world, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres launched the United Nations Strategy and Plan of Action on Hate Speech, the newspaper noted.
