Doha, November 24 (QNA) - The Iranian team seeks to maintain its chances of qualifying for the second round of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 when it meets Wales Friday in the second round for the second group. The two teams had failed to win in the first round, as Wales drew 1-1 against its American counterpart, while Iran lost to its English rival 6-2. Therefore each of them desperately needs the three points of the entire confrontation to improve their position and stay within the competition in the second group, issued after the first round by the England team, with three points, six goals, and two goals. The US and Wales teams are in the second and third places with the same balance, one point, and one goal.
