Qatar 2022/ Spain's National Team Coach Sacked

Madrid, December 08 (QNA) - The Spanish Football Federation announced today the dismissal of Luis Enrique from coaching the first team, after the exit from the round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Enrique, 52, took charge of the Spain national team in 2018 and led them to the European Cup semi-finals last summer. The Spain national team were eliminated from the last-16 by Morocco on penalties (0-3) after the match ended 0-0. Spain were runners-up of Group E in the group stage with 4 points after a big victory over Costa Rica (7-0), then Draw with Germany (1-1) and loss against Japan (1- 2). (QNA)
